Birka is a sweet, intelligent young German Shepherd with strong potential. She is eager to learn, highly food-motivated, and enjoys working closely with her handler. She will thrive in an active, structured home that can meet both her mental and physical needs.

Temperament

Birka is affectionate, focused, and driven. She bonds well with her handler and enjoys having a job to do. She is still young and continues to develop impulse control and maturity.

• Crate trained (calm, clean, non-destructive)
• Car trained (seatbelted)
• Knows: sit, down, wait, come, crate, place, “out” (release)
• Treadmill trained
• High food drive / moderate toy drive
• Comfortable with grooming and routine care

Social Behaviour

• Good with dogs of similar size or larger with proper introductions
• Enjoys structured, physical play

Important Notes

• Very high prey drive — not suitable for homes with small animals
• Can jump when excited (improving with training)
• Not suitable for apartments, condos, or townhomes
• Best suited for homes with older children or adults only
• May become protective without proper structure

Activities & Suitability

Birka would excel in scent work, barn hunt, lure coursing, and other structured dog sports. She enjoys using her nose, running, and engaging in purposeful activity.
