Become a Foster Home
Foster homes are the foundation of our rescue program. Because we do not operate a physical shelter, every dog entering our care relies on a dedicated foster family to provide a safe and stable environment while they prepare for adoption.
We are always looking for experienced foster homes across Canada.
Due to the unique characteristics and needs of the Belgian Shepherd breed, we currently accept foster applications from individuals with prior dog-handling experience. This may include professional or volunteer experience as a dog trainer, handler, behaviour consultant, veterinary professional, or previous experience fostering or owning working breeds.
What Does Fostering Involve?
As a foster home, you will:
- Provide a safe and structured home environment.
- Help the dog adjust to family life and daily routines.
- Observe and report the dog's behaviour, temperament, and progress.
- Attend veterinary appointments if required.
- Help us learn more about the dog's personality so we can find the most suitable adoptive home.
Our team will support you throughout the fostering process and will always be available to answer questions or provide guidance.
What We Provide
- Veterinary care
- Food
- Training and behavioural support as needed
- Ongoing guidance from our team
- Assistance with finding the dog's permanent home
